Just imagine for a moment if everything that happened between individuals, everything that happened in our relationship with nature, everything that we did to ourselves, was done with absolute kindness. Would armies be necessary? Would the courts, the police, lawyers be needed? Would the word “dysfunctional family” disappear from our vocabulary? If every event had at its heart pure, unconditional kindness, it would be impossible to have anger, resentments, or hostilities. All right, I realize this may be a “idealistic” outlook, but why not. Why can’t we live in a world that has kindness as its theme. Kindness is not weakness. Kindness takes strength and courage. Kindness brings peace and calmness with it. Kindness breeds love and love breeds kindness. It is impossible to be kind and not feel the warmth of a deed well done. One act of kindness will grow and enable itself into other acts of kindness and believe me you will find the reward in this life and the hereafter, ameen.

If you wish to start changing things then be kind first to yourself. Be kind to your body, in your self talk, to your spirit. Then take that kindness forward in all your actions. The kindness that you give today will come back to you many fold tomorrow
