info for programs that start automatically in windows are stored in one of three place..

1) after (load) or (run) in (system.ini or win.ini) – i’m using windows nt right now, so i’m not 100% sure

2) in the startup group in the start/programs menu

3) in the registery, if u go to the registry,

maybe u deleted the files in the startup group, but u’ve still got the entries in the registery.. and this is where some viruses store their startup info.. u can delete these entries using the following method:

click on start button and go to run

type regedit

go down, opening the tree structure following this path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce

bear in mind that i’m using windows nt now, so i can’t make sure 100% of these details, but inshallah u’ll find them as mentioned.

from each of the above sections delete any unnecessary entries in the left-hand side.

BUT make sure u don’t remove any important entries as that might make ur system unstable or not working at all..
